Ever heard of it?! If you have then you most likely recognize the name and associate it with juices. If you haven’t, then thank goodness you are reading this!!!
I partnered up with the Native team to get the inside scoop on what this place is about and what makes it so unique and special (and let me tell you, it is very much both)! This post in particular will be focusing on Native Nectar’s FULL menu, which most people don’t even know they offer. Stay tuned however for a full debrief on their famous cold-pressed juices in a post to come in the following weeks.
Alright…let’s talk vegan. I can honestly say that I was pretty unaware of what a vegan lifestyle and diet meant prior to this partnership. But I learned of BIG NEWS…Native Nectar is the ONLY place in Northwest Arkansas with a 100% completely vegan menu and one of the few in all of Arkansas. So whether you are coming to Native Nectar for the love of veganism or the yummy food, you can rest assured the ingredients you are putting in your body are good for it. Side note: watch ‘What The Health’ on Netflix for a much deeper dive into this subject.
So what is on this vegan menu? Can something so good for you actually taste good or does vegan food taste like grass or paper?! The Native Nectar team walked and talked me through their brand new menu and then were kind enough to let me try out many of the menu items to prove to me their power punch flavors!
Like I said, Native Nectar offers a FULL menu. That is, breakfast, snacks, bites, sides, smoothies, salads, entrees, drinks, and desserts. The perfect breakfast date/light lunch date/pick me up afternoon snack/family dinner/top it all of with a sweet kind of place. They have it all. While I have included the full menu, I want to highlight on a few of my favorites from their new menu.
How many avocado toasts have you had??? Honestly, probably a lot, and you would probably say they pretty much all taste the same. That is not the case here my friends. The most perfect fluffy piece of toast, lime juice, pickled red onions pickled in house, and so many other features make this an avocado toast not to be ignored. Besides that, the vibrant colors of this dish are enough to make my eyes super happy even before it ever reaches my mouth.
Or smoothie bowls that is
The pacific is the cutest. In coordination with the name and taste, the fun design of this fruit palm tree on the granola sand combo is adorable. This smoothie bowl is light and refreshing but packed with nutrients and flavor to also be filling. Fun fact: the spirulina is what gives it its funky fun blue coloring.
So vegans don’t eat cheese and I love cheese so when they tried to convince me to try the tofu feta…I was a little skeptical. This tofu feta concoction was the perfect mind trick to taste and even look like cheese. The salad is soaked in dressing to really give it a nice texture and flavor. If you are a Greek salad lover, this one is for you!
Want to think your eating pasta but ditch the carbs?! The raw alfredo is made with squash noodles. The crunchy texture is extremely satisfying but my favorite part of this dish was by far the kale pesto. I really couldn’t get enough of it!
Cold-pressed Juice Flight
Ditch the brewery, come to Native Nectar. This adorable flight is a perfect item for first-timers. If you aren’t sure you want to do a juice cleanse or want to try multiple flavors of the juices, this is the perfect way to do it. In our specific flight we tried three juices and a detox water. It was a great little introduction into the juice segment that is to come!
Of all the items I was skeptical of, this one took the cake (cheesecake that is, HA) I just really didn’t believe that vegan cheesecake could actually taste good. How do you have cheesecake without cheese? This strawberry cheesecake with chocolate crust proved me wrong. Its texture was pretty similar to that of cheesecake and the taste was just as good, if not better. Best news, the change the flavor daily so you can also see what cool new flavor they will come up with next.
I had the greatest time at Native Nectar for so many reasons. First of all, the staff. They were so kind and generous and welcoming. They answered my one million questions with such patience and were eager to educate me. Secondly, I loved the education I received. I left feeling knowledgeable, aware, and challenged to really put thought into what I am putting into my body. There really something to be said about fueling your body correctly. Thirdly, the local mentality they have. Native Nectar makes most of their concoctions and ingredients in house but when they have an opportunity to collaborate or help out or receive an ingredient from a local farmer or restaurant, they jump on the opportunity. Northwest Arkansas is all about community and support and this just really stuck out to me. Lastly and most importantly, the food. I mean let’s be real. I had an entirely vegan menu and meal and I left with a happy tummy, a full tummy, and a healthy tummy.
So go check it out for yourself. Take your friends and family. Meet your co-workers there for lunch. Native Nectar is located on J Street in Bentonville and is the perfect spot for the Rogers/Bentonville corporate life crew.
Their hours are Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, Sat 8am-3pm, Sun 12pm-5pm.
Before you hit up somewhere else for a burger, consider Native Nectar, a good long term and short term decision for your heart, your health, and your happiness.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for part 2!!!
All the happy,
